Noise Isolation vs. Noise Cancellation
What's the difference?
Sometimes used interchangeably to describe our products, it’s important to note that these two words are not synonymous. Noise isolation occurs when eartips are inserted (properly) into the ear. The eartips then act as a physical barrier, essentially “isolating” your ears from ambient noise. Whereas, noise cancellation (or active noise cancellation) requires the headphones to possess technology that listens for sounds in your environment and generates the inverse or opposite sounds that then actively cancels out the unwanted noises.
So what are ISOtunes?
All of our earbuds are classified as noise isolating, hence the "ISO" in ISOtunes.
